AskMID Website

The AskMID website, set up by the Motor Insurers' Bureau, is an easy way for clients to check whether their car is registered as insured on the Motor Insurance Database. With the introduction of CIE and increased Police roadside checks it is more important than ever that clients check carefully that their details are on AskMID.

Some may find that their vehicle is not listed on the database despite being sure that they are insured. This could be due to an error, often as simple and avoidable as the vehicle registration number not being given correctly when arranging insurance. Also, it is vital that clients check the registration number printed on any documents they receive, especially the policy document.

We would recommend that our clients check their vehicle's registration details on the AskMID website and, if their vehicle is not listed, that they notify us as soon as possible.  Also, we would like to remind our clients to renew their insurances promptly to avoid the risk of not being listed on the Motor Insurance Database.
